Sacraments
The Sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us. There are seven: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance or Reconciliation, the Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony. [Catechism of the Catholic Church 1994 Reference: 1131 and 1210]
