On March 5, 2011, at the 32nd Annual Archdiocesan Social Ministry Convocation, the Parish Partnership Program of the Missions Office received the International Peace and Justice Award. This award, presented annually, honors an individual or group who is dedicated to international peace and development. This year, the award was given to the 18 parishes of the Archdiocese of Baltimore that participate in a partnership with parishes in the Diocese of Gonaives, Haiti. They all share in this honor and hope to expand the program so that all 36 parishes in the Diocese of Gonaives may find a partner parish in our Archdiocese.
